Email (CRM) Marketing Manager

Reporting in to the Head of Digital, the Email/CRM Marketing Manager will be responsible for building and honing Eargo’s email programs that support the entire customer lifecycle. This extends from transactional emails on our online store, to lead nurturing, sales support, to thoughtful onboarding program for new users and beyond. This is a dream role for someone with expertise in, and real passion for, email marketing and CRM. This role will be part of a small, dynamic team that’s highly results-oriented.


This is what you’ll be doing:

  • Be the day-to-day Owner of Eargo’s customer-facing email communications
  • Planning and executing automated email programs that support holistic lifecycle management
  • Analyzing and reporting on the overall performance of various programs/tactics
  • Working with internal creative resources to develop assets (images, videos, GIFs) to create best-in-class emails
  • Routinely planning and implementing tests of all sorts to optimize engagement metrics across all programs
  • Partnering with the sales team to explore ways to improve lead conversion via email tactics­– both emails from Eargo and automated emails from reps
  • Maintaining Eargo newsletter, and creating new emails to engage our install base
  • Evolving Eargo onboarding program and help uncover opportunities to better automate training on how to use Eargo device
  • Staying abreast of the latest trends, best practices and tools in email marketing
  • Devising ad hoc campaigns to help bolster business performance where needed, EG accessory offer email
  • QAing your work to ensure emails adhere to standards and render well on mobile devices



  • Bachelors Degree, with at least 4 years experience working in email marketing
  • Proficient at HTML/CSS coding; candidate is not required to code all emails (can use templates), but they are expected to be able to edit/customize where required
  • Strong data manipulation skills such that you can quickly cleanse, merge, de-dupe data files, if needed
  • Sound experience implementing email tests of various kinds (copy, creative, targeting, etc)
  • Proficient copywriting skills, specifically for email & direct marketing
  • Experience with use of dynamic content in emails
  • Experience with CRM lifecycle planning and with email automation
  • Expert knowledge of email best practices, both creative/design and response metrics
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics
  • Great attitude; able to work in a very dynamic environment



  • Sound knowledge of ExactTarget email platform
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Connector is a big plus; candidate must
  • Experience with Optimizely an asset
  • Familiarity with GetFeedback an asset
  • Experience with Yotpo an asset
  • Experience with Spree commerce an asset
